Refund Policy
1. Scope
This policy applies to purchases of WardenKit products made through a live checkout offered on this website or on a WardenKit product page. WardenKit is a product and brand of BRIDGER SERVICES (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED. Purchases are processed through Paddle, which acts as the seller and merchant of record for each transaction it processes.
A non-canonical release-candidate preview of this website may expose a Paddle Sandbox checkout for release testing. Sandbox testing takes no payment and creates no Live customer purchase, no subscription and no refund right; nothing in this policy applies to it.
2. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under applicable law that cannot be waived, including consumer withdrawal, cancellation or refund rights where they apply to you. Where mandatory law grants you a different or broader right than this policy describes, the law prevails.
3. Purchases processed by Paddle
For a WardenKit purchase processed by Paddle, Paddle is the seller and merchant of record: Paddle issues the transaction receipt, handles the refund process and issues any refund. Refund requests for such a purchase are made to Paddle and are governed by Paddle's Refund Policy, the transaction terms presented at checkout and applicable law.
Under Paddle's current Refund Policy, you may submit a discretionary refund request within 14 calendar days of the transaction date. Submitting a request within that 14-day window does not by itself guarantee a refund: Paddle determines eligibility and processes any refund under its Refund Policy and applicable law. Your statutory rights in Section 2 apply in addition and are not shortened by this window.
To request a refund for a purchase processed by Paddle, use Paddle's buyer support at paddle.net or the support route stated on your Paddle receipt. You do not need to contact WardenKit first, and WardenKit does not add any eligibility condition, exclusion or prerequisite to Paddle's refund framework.
4. Initial-purchase guarantee (30 calendar days)
In addition to Paddle's framework and your statutory rights, WardenKit commits to the following for each purchasing organization and each WardenKit product: if you ask for a refund (through Paddle's buyer support or by email to WardenKit support) within 30 calendar days of your organization's first paid transaction for that product, WardenKit will ask Paddle to refund the applicable paid transactions for that product made inside that 30-day window. You do not have to show a defect, complete troubleshooting or delete anything first. Paddle processes the refund as merchant of record.
The window is counted once, from the first paid transaction. It is not restarted by a renewal, an upgrade, a capacity or seat change, a repurchase after cancellation, or by issuing new activation credentials. Renewals and other charges outside the initial window are not covered by this guarantee; for them, Paddle's Refund Policy (Section 3) and your statutory rights (Section 2) apply. A charge is reimbursed at most once: WardenKit checks Paddle's transaction and adjustment records before asking for a refund. A charge already refunded in full is not refunded again; a charge refunded in part remains eligible for its remaining balance; an amount under a pending request, dispute or unresolved adjustment is set aside until Paddle's records settle it, not forfeited. Your request is judged at the time you made it, even if WardenKit processes it later.
"Purchasing organization" is identified by the Paddle customer record that made the first paid transaction. This mapping has limits: a different billing customer record, email address, subscription or set of credentials does not by itself prove that an organization is new or the same one, and WardenKit does not claim that those identifiers alone prevent repeat use of the guarantee. Paddle's merchant-of-record rules on fraud and abuse continue to apply.
5. How WardenKit helps
Contact support@wardenkit.com at any time if a WardenKit product does not behave as documented or if you need the facts of your purchase confirmed. We will work to resolve technical problems within a reasonable time and can confirm purchase details to support a refund request. This assistance is optional: it is never a condition of making a refund request, and requesting a refund does not require you to first report or wait for the resolution of a technical problem.
6. Cancellation is not the same as a refund
Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals and future issuance of entitlements, packs and subscribed updates under the applicable subscription terms, effective at the applicable time. Until that verified effective time you keep the paid access you already have; ordinary cancellation does not shorten the paid period and does not trigger an automatic prorated refund. Cancellation does not by itself refund a charge already made. Whether a past charge is refunded is determined under Section 4 for the initial-purchase guarantee, under Section 3 for a purchase processed by Paddle, together with your statutory rights in Section 2.
7. Access while a refund is requested and after it is approved
A refund that is requested or pending approval is not yet a refund: your paid access continues unchanged until Paddle confirms an approved refund. Once Paddle confirms an approved refund that returns the consideration for the current paid period, the WardenKit service stops issuing and refreshing production authorizations for that subscription and revokes its activation credential. A refund of an earlier, already-ended billing period leaves current access unchanged. A partial refund affects only the rights that correspond to the refunded part, and the remaining balance stays eligible under Section 4; a tax-only adjustment refunds no product consideration and changes no product right; a proration adjustment affects only the rights that correspond to the prorated consideration. Where Paddle's records do not let WardenKit tell which rights a refund corresponds to, issuance pauses until the position is reconciled rather than being guessed. A payment dispute or chargeback pauses new issuance while it is open; if it is reversed, access resumes only through a fresh authorization against your current subscription, never by reviving a credential that was revoked. Signed authorization already installed on your machines is not remotely deleted or disabled; it lapses on its own signed deadline (for the Open-Source Licence Policy SDK, at most 72 hours after it was issued). Evaluation use of the software remains available. Refunds are never conditioned on troubleshooting, on proof of deletion, or on surrendering any statutory right, and a refund that is due is not delayed pending that technical cleanup.
